We all have heard about the horrible incident of kidnapping and murder of an Arkansas real estate agent after he showed a house to a client. Around 40% of the manpower has had uncomfortable encounters while on duty.
This explains why I felt the need to create a personal safety device for real-estate professionals.
Why Do Real Estate Agents Need A Safety Device?
The National Association of Realtors reported that in 2016 alone, there were 34500 attacks on real-estate agents during their working hours. According to their 2017 annual report, 44% of the female agents and 25% of male agents have been through a situation where they felt unsafe. This may include car accidents, rape, abduction, an attempt of sexual assault, or burglary.
The nature of the job requires moving out of the office, meeting strangers, visiting remote areas with clients alone to show properties, and sharing information. Often, criminals take advantage of meeting with agents in remote locations and try to harm them physically and sexually.

Several personal safety smartphone applications and wearable devices are currently available in the market. Eliminates the Middleman
Several safety devices are available with impressive safety features, but they often route your calls to call centers. A considerable amount of time is lost during the process of redirecting the call to your emergency contact.
We designed the Silent Beacon panic button, keeping in mind that time is the most precious commodity in such conditions, and a prompt response can save you from harm. The device will eliminate the role of call centers and connect you to your desired contact immediately.
Complimentary Free Safety App
If you own the panic button, the smartphone application is free for you. It works for all models of smartphones and tablets, allows you to customize alerts, offers multiple alerting options, and allows live tracking of your real-time GPS location. The device’s battery can also be viewed on the app.
In cases when you have dealt with the emergencies yourself, you may notify your loved ones of your safety via the nudge feature. Since the device is small and you need to wear it all day long, it’s probable that you might lose it. You can use the safety app as a lost item finder as long as the device is within the Bluetooth range.
Design Features
While performing the heavy-duty safety functions for you, the Silent Beacon panic button is made considering an environmental-friendly, intricate design. We have used UL-certified fire-resistant plastic for panic buttons and recyclable cardboard. The device does not contain any harmful or toxic chemicals, so you can use it for the long term. The indented buttons feature allows you to reduce false alerts from occurring.
The panic button has a rechargeable battery and even shows the current battery level to alleviate the stress of the battery running out. The accessory clip allows complete mobility, so you may clip it anywhere on yourself. It comes with a speaker that cancels noise and ensures seamless, clear emergency communication.
The visual confirmation during notifications, battery, and connection includes multi-colored LED lights. But I know that in some cases, you might want to call for help discreetly in some cases and to cater to that need, the silent mode will come to your rescue. Vibrate mode can also be activated to alert you when you receive a notification while LEDs and speakers are off.
