How do I reset the Beacon

There may be reasons you need to restart your Silent Beacon Panic Button.  This can be achieved multiple ways, depending on the level of Reset you are looking for.

The Panic Button will not connect to the App

Hold both buttons on the Silent Beacon for 30 seconds. At 20 seconds it will turn blue, at 25 seconds it will flash blue. At 30 seconds it will flash white, you may now release the buttons.

The device will now reset as shown below. You may try to connect it again to the App.

Resetting the Beacon from inside the App (Factory Reset)

In order to fully disconnect your beacon from the phone, to be able to pair it with a new phone, you need to hit the “Factory Reset” button on the bottom of the Beacon page in the App.

(If the “Factory Reset” button is not showing up, you need to pair the beacon to the phone.)

If you do not do this, the beacon will not be able to pair to any other phone.

I no longer have or use the Silent Beacon and want all my information deleted.

Go into the Silent Beacon Safety App and click the Settings option at the top left.  Choose the My Info from the options, then select Delete Account.

IMPORTANT!
This will delete you from the database, your emergency contacts list, your map history, and your registered Silent Beacon Panic Button!  Once this is done you can not go back.  You will need your 4-digit pin to complete this.

I am selling or giving the Silent Beacon to someone else.

You will need to follow the instructions above to factory reset the beacon, otherwise, no one else will be able to connect to the device.
