My beacon device won’t place a call to my Emergency Contact/Dispatcher.
Please remember to turn on your permission settings in your phone device and make sure that “phone calls” are allowed.
Why is the “beacon calling” on the Beacon tab page of my app is not visible/green/on?
In order for your beacon device to be properly paired, please check your Bluetooth settings. Go into Bluetooth and toggle it on/off and repair your beacon.
Why does it say “Beacon is paired to another device?”
Please note-take or screenshot the MAC Address within that pop-up, should start with SD__### and a bunch of numbers and email customer support this issue you are having.
How do I test the panic button without triggering an actual emergency?
Please input a phone number that is not 911 as your emergency contact when testing the panic button.
What happens if I press the panic button by mistake?
If the alert is sent, notify emergency services or your contacts immediately to inform them of the false alarm.
Can I customize who gets notified when I press the panic button?
Yes, if you are in consumer app you are allowed to configure emergency contacts. If you are using the business app, then notify your Portal admin for a dispatcher contact change.
I factory reset my beacon and then I cannot repair my beacon?
Please go into hard reset mode. To enter hard reset mode:
- Press “Remove beacon” button in the beacon tab of the application –>
- Go into Bluetooth settings on your phone device->
- Delete any “SB app” or “Silent Beacon 2” device ->
- turn off Bluetooth ->
- Factory reset the physical beacon device ->
- turn the Bluetooth toggle back on ->
- turn beacon on (press the flat smooth button, it will flash colors and play the tune->
- Wait the full 30-50 seconds.
If this does not work please contact customer support.
How do I know what beacon firmware version I am on?
In the application, go to “beacon tab” and scroll down to “Beacon Information” and locate the title “Firmware Version”. You should see numbers that look somewhat like (1.0.215) (Numbers might look different for everyone).
The “Find my beacon” button won’t work for me.
Force close your app and refresh your Bluetooth but toggling it on/off, then reopen the app.
My app keeps crashing.

Can I use the app without a smartphone?
Our product requires a smartphone with the app installed.

- Verify that your device has an active internet connection or cellular service.
- Ensure the app has the necessary permissions (e.g., location, notifications).
- Restart the app or your device.
- If the issue persists, contact tech support with details about your device and app version.
How can I update the location sharing settings for the app?
You can manage location sharing settings through your device’s privacy settings. On most devices:
- Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
- Select the app and ensure location access is set to “Always” or “While Using the App.”
- Confirm that precise location is enabled for better accuracy.
