LIMITED WARRANTY AND RETURN POLICY

I. LIMITED WARRANTY

Silent Beacon, LLC (“SBL”) warrants that your Silent Beacon product (the “Device”) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery to the original retail purchaser (“the Warranty Period”). If a defect in the Device arises within the Warranty Period, SBL will, at its sole option and subject to applicable laws, repair or replace the Device with a new or refurbished Device. This Warranty does not apply where the instructions for use and activation of the Device were not complied with or where the Device is damaged as a result of abuse, accident, modification or other causes beyond our reasonable control.

ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES AND ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NO-INFRINGMENT, ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED.

Coverage of Limited Warranty

This limited warranty covers only the actual Device.  All SBL accessories including the wristband, USB-C cord, and attachment clip are not covered under this warranty.  Furthermore, SBL’s limited warranty does not cover any products that do not bear the SBL logo.

Obtaining Warranty Service

If, after following the instructions in the user manual and quick start guide you are certain that the Device is defective, please take the following steps;

(a) carefully check with the place you purchased the Device to see if it is outside their return or limited warranty timeframe;

(b) if you purchased the Device direct from Silentbeacon.com please contact support located at https://silentbeacon.com/emergency-alert-system-contact/

(c) pack the Device carefully (preferably in its original packaging);

(d) include in the packaging all parts, accessories, manuals, and other materials originally packaged with the Device;

(e) include in the packaging a copy of the original sales receipt or other evidence of the date of original purchase including purchase order if from silentbeacon.com;

(f) include in the packaging a note (i) that describes the defect that has caused you to return the product, and (ii) that includes a day-time phone number where you can be reached; and

(g) ship the product to the address below. If you send the packaged product through a postal carrier, at your option, either insure the shipment, or accept the risk if the product is lost or damaged in shipment.

Warranty Void Outside the United States

This limited warranty is void outside the United States and Puerto Rico.

II. RETURNS OR EXCHANGES

Limited Return or Exchange Period

SBL allows a 30-day return or exchange of the Device if purchased directly on Silentbeacon.com.   If the Device was purchased on a third-party website or other purchasing method such as a retail purchaser (resellers), you must abide by their individual return and exchange policies. SBL will not honor or accept returns originally sold by other resellers.  To qualify for a silentbeacon.com return or exchange, the

following conditions must be met:

You must return the Device and all parts included in the original box to the address below.
You must have filed out the RMA form given by Silent Beacon Customer Service.
The product(s) must be in the same condition as originally purchased with no signs of damage, abuse, accident or modification.
You must pay for all shipping, taxes and fees associated with mailing the product back to SBL.  We suggest adding insurance and tracking to avoid further delays.


SBL will assess a 10% restocking fee on all returned product.  We do not reimburse consumers for shipping charges, custom charges, brokerage fees, taxes duties, or any other fees.

In order for the Device to function normally you acknowledge that you have verified the compatibility of our product(s) with other required equipment. This may or may not include smartphones with updated operating systems, Bluetooth 5.0 enabled devices, location services allowed or disruption of cellular service.  Furthermore, you acknowledge lack of compatibility is not a valid claim under the Silent Beacon warranty and does not otherwise constitute a basis for receiving a refund after 30 days.

You assume all risk of shipping including lost or damaged products when in transit.  Silent Beacon retains the right to refuse delivery or may impose an additional restocking fee based on any missing parts or to the product itself.
