Press the smooth button for 3–5 seconds. A short vibration plus a flashing LED means the unit has power. If nothing happens, charge the Beacon for at least 30 minutes and try again.
A blue flash (1–2 sec) on power‑up means it is already paired; a red flash means it is on but not paired. You can also check pairing status in the Beacon tab of the app.
A: Note the MAC code shown (starts with “SB…”) and contact support; we will wipe the Beacon from the backend. After confirmation, re‑pair as a new device.
We realize how frustrating this may be. If your Beacon is flashing red, it may have been inadvertently put into alert mode before pairing. You do not need to reset it first — start by pairing the Beacon to the app. Once paired, the Beacon may attempt to call your emergency number again since it is still in alert mode. Open the main menu in the app and tap the red Emergency Alert button to turn off the alert.
If pairing does not resolve the issue, follow the Beacon reset steps by holding both buttons down for about 15 seconds until the unit makes an audible noise, this occurs after the beacon flashes white then cycles all the light colors.
Note: On older firmware, or a device that has not ever been properly paired, the alert can remain red even when powered off or unpaired. It will be hard to tell if the device is even on, which you can test by tapping the small smooth button on the right hand side, this will either blink red or blue quickly for 2 seconds even when flashing red.
If the Beacon’s battery level is at 10% or below, it may not reset properly. To reset the device, hold both buttons for about 15 seconds. The Beacon LED will flash white and then shut off, confirming the reset has been completed.
